IMPORTANT AFFILIATE GUIDELINES
You must agree to abide by these Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions in order to be accepted into the programme.
In connection with any marketing efforts you choose to make for my products, please ensure that all promotional materials adhere to the following guidelines:
1) Product Reviews: In the event that you do a product review of any of my products, you should make sure that you disclose upfront that you receive a percentage of each sale made. This can be worded as such:
This blog contains affiliate links to products I use, have tried and love. This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission (at no additional cost to you).
This post contains an affiliate link. This means I may earn a small commission (at no additional cost to you) if you make a purchase using my link.
This download contains affiliate links to products I use, have tried and love. This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, I will receive an affiliate commission (at no additional cost to you).
Any disclosures must be clear and conspicuous and not hidden. The most important principle is that an endorsement has to represent the accurate experience and opinion of the endorser. In addition, you must follow the following guidance:
You can’t talk about your experience with a product if you haven’t tried it.
You can’t make claims that a product would bring untold wealth or a change to their life. For example, you can’t say a product will change someone’s life. You can however say how it’s enhanced yours, if in fact it has.
Furthermore, such disclosures must be made clearly, frequently and conspicuously. Such disclosures ensure that potential buyers can formulate an informed opinion about the information you provide by understanding the possible influence your material connection with my company might have on your endorsement of my products.
According to the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA): “Putting disclosures in obscure places – for example, buried on an ABOUT US or GENERAL INFO page, behind a poorly labeled hyperlink or in a terms of service agreement – isn’t good enough. The average person who visits your site must be able to notice your disclosure, read it and understand it.” All disclosures should appear in full, either before or in close proximity to the affiliate link itself.
2) You must not violate any law or regulation governing (i) false or deceptive advertising, (ii) sweepstakes, or (iii) gambling.
3) You must not offer incentives to users to click on ads or complete offers that award them cash, points, prizes or automatically enter them into contests, drawings or sweepstakes.
4) Your social media content, whether to promote my courses, or your own business must not contain any trade disparagement or libelous, defamatory or infringing content.
5) Your website and / or any of your own business marketing material, or your personal social media accounts must not contain any materials or wording that are:
- Obscene, or pornographic;
- Offensive, profane, hateful, threatening, harmful, defamatory, libellous, harassing, or discriminatory (whether based on race, ethnicity, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, physical disability, or otherwise);
- Graphically violent; or
- Solicitous of any unlawful behavior.
6) You must not show inside the course, nor disclose any of its written content, workbooks, video content or anything that is only accessible to paying customers. This would be a breach of my copyright. Everything you can use is available in your assets bank.
7) You are in no way permitted to share your affiliate links in any of my Facebook groups. Please also do not share your affiliate links in the groups of any other VA trainers, mentors or coaches. It’s unethical and a sure fire way to get yourself kicked out of all VA Facebook groups.
8) You must comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, orders, licenses, permits, judgments, decisions or other requirements of any governmental authority that has jurisdiction over you, whether those laws, etc. are now in effect or later come into effect during the time you are an Affiliate, including the ASA regarding endorsements, disclosures and testimonials. You can read more here.
9) You are solely responsible for declaring all commissions as income. If I am made aware that you are not then it is my legal responsibility to let the appropriate authorities know.
10) If you do not make any sales within a 24 month period your affiliate status will be removed.11) You must comply with my Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions, which you agreed to upon applying to the program: https://www.catherinegladwyn.co.uk/affiliates/
